Greatest Album Ever

Post by Enchy on Tue May 27, 2008 7:25 pm

Well, I would have to argue that the greatest studio album ever is a very close tie between Who's Next, Quadrophenia and Kid A. The greatest Live album ever though, is The Who live with special guests at Royal Albert Hall.

Eh, White Album is the Beatles. And I'm gonna come out here and say it, they were great, heck, they were even amazing, but then I listened to The Who, and I discovered what true greatness is.

oh... That was cold. I'd have to agree, I like some of those songs better than the original. But were it not for the Beatles, we wouldn't have Across the Universe.

The soundtracks of Anorexia & Nervosa - Showbread was awesome.
An Ocean Between Us - As I Lay Dying is my favorite greatest album at the moment. Alternative Metal rocks!

All these are all great albums, unquestionably. BUT!! Without the white album or the beatles period music wouldn't be the way it is today.

I do like BFS, I love some of their songs. Almost is a favorite of mine. Another album I REALLY love is Hot fuss by The Killers. You've gotta love the Killers.

There is no one greatest album. Because:

1. Different genres for different moods

2. It's subjective

I will say that Kid A was quite a brilliant watershed for Radiohead, although Ok Computer was pretty distinct too, in respect to their previous two albums.

"Who's Radiohead?"

(a photo of Radiohead, presumably)

A band from Britain that I can't really classify appropriately, as they are kind of genre pioneers, and their sound changed greatly throughout their carreer, hence my use of the word Watershed.

Great band. Lot's of talent. However, I wasn't into their last album so much. And, in conclusion, Capitol Records is abusing their power and kind of chopping and blending Radiohead's music into greatest hits albums and other things like that. boo.

I said something on-topic. yay.
